Nuqta-e-Rabt is an independent intellectual and research series devoted to the serious, fair-minded study of questions concerning the Qur’an and Sunnah, Islamic history, beliefs, spirituality, and human thought. It is not merely a platform for presenting information. It is an attempt to ask questions, seek evidence, understand differing viewpoints, and discover meaningful connections between them.
Why was it started?
Behind this series is a personal intellectual journey. Years ago, when I began reading the Qur’an seriously with translation and commentary, questions emerged that led me to reconsider some of my beliefs, inherited traditions, and assumptions. Over time, I became increasingly aware that we may accept ideas simply because we inherited them, because they are common in society, or because a respected person expressed them. But does popularity prove truth? Does every extraordinary spiritual experience guarantee reality? Can devotion and critical inquiry coexist? Questions like these became the foundation of this series.
Why the name “Nuqta-e-Rabt”?
Ideas, events, traditions, and beliefs can appear unrelated on the surface while still sharing historical, intellectual, or religious connections. Nuqta-e-Rabt means searching for that connecting point. A claim will not be accepted merely because it is popular, nor rejected merely because it is unusual or unfamiliar. Each subject will be examined through its primary sources, historical background, relevant evidence, context, and meaningful differences of interpretation.
